HOW A WEB BROWSER DISPLAY A HOME PAGE

Web Browser is special Internet software connecting you to remote computer. It use to open and transfers files, display text and images, provides an uncomplicated interface to the internet and web document. Examples of browsers are Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Netscape Navigator.


For browser to connect to resources the location or address must be specified that is called uniform resources locators (URL) The protocol are rules or exchanging data and domain name is the name of the server where the resource is located. Top Level domain identifies the type of organization.


The standard protocol for the internet is TCP/IP(transmission control protocol/Internet protocol).There 2 essential features:



Identification – The system was developing to automatically convert text-based addresses to numeric IP addresses. Domain name server (DNS) is a system that converts text-based addresses to IP addresses.




Refomatting - reformatted or broken down into small part. It called packets.
